Le174741 0 Napisano 18 Marca 2021 Udostępnij Napisano 18 Marca 2021 2 nvme SSD will reduce GPU performance by slowing down the GPU pcie lane. I currently have a Asus Strix X470-F motherboard and have a Samsung 970 Evo m. Would having my samsung 970 nvme ssd installed already reduce the pcie lane to x8 or would it be fine. kokosnh 4155 Napisano 18 Marca 2021 Udostępnij Napisano 18 Marca 2021 @Le174741The difference in GPU performance on PCI-e 3.0 x16 vs x8 is like 0-1% FPS. And on Asus Strix X470-F the first M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x4 is hook up directly to CPU, and don't share bandwidth with GPU PCI-e lanes. And the second M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x2 port is hooked up through chipset, and it also don't share bandwidth with GPU PCI-e lanes. So installing a SSD M.2 NVMe, won't affect the GPU performance, as well as it won't affect the GPU bandwidth, it will still be PCI-e 3.0 x16, even with both M.2 occupied by NVMe SSDs. And in the future do try to create your own topic, because you have different configuration than OP. Cytuj
